Well...You can learn from your mistakes.Jan 29, 2013
Let me write and say I felt a bit deceived when I order this chocolate. At first when I saw from the picture I thought I was getting multiple bars for the price. However that was not the case. I paid 11 dollars for one bar. It was not 11 dollars for a like a king size bar. I wish in the future they will say it is only one bar. This could be my fault which I am willing to accept some responsibly for but would as in the future for this advertisement to state something clearer. A picture of a single bar would be better.
Now as far as taste wise. I had a small bite and was not really impressed. It is not bad, but I have tasted better dark chocolate. I do like how it is made with small ingredients. But for 11 dollars for a bar was a bit way to pricey. Maybe 4 dollars would not be bad.
Over all it is decent but I would not buy it for that price. But my quest for the perfect dark organic chocolate for the right price continues.

No Going BackJan 04, 2011

I discovered this chocolate at a gourmet shop in Half Moon Bay, CA called Toque Blanche. It is truly delicious for those who like strong chocolate. Be warned, you will become more discerning and less inclined to accept a rubbery, oily chocolate with fillers. A perfect gift to just remind someone how wonderful he or she is, but you may want to share a bar first, because it is a bit of an acquired taste. I wonder if this is the kind of chocolate that is as powerful as an anti-depressant.

the stone ground-ness is a little strange at first (it feels a little bit like coffee grounds texture), but the chocolate tastes amazing. i really like the fact that this is minimally processed, and it really satisfies my dark chocolate craving. i will be ordering more!

Real ChocolateAug 08, 2012

At first taste, it is slightly gritty and sandy, in a good way, because it's stone ground and not mixed with common emulsifiers like soy lethicin. I was surprised that it quickly turned creamy and meltable more so than any other non -stoneground milk chocolates and it becomes addicting fast. And, the taste of the 80% dark is so good -eat enough of these and the taste will start to become like a sweet red wine flavor.
I haven't found or tried any other chocolate with this texture or flavor yet, and is better than most single origin bars too.

So-o Good!Oct 19, 2012
I love dark chocolate and to try other brands. Saw this at a Whole Foods market for $6.99 a bar. My oh my, is it ever good! I love the grainy texture and meltability and of course the wondeful chocolate flavor. I think it's cheaper to get it at the local stores. I want to try the 87% bar next. This 80% is dark, but it is also sweet to the taste even though it has only 9 gm sugar in half the bar. I wonder how good it would be in baking. Yumm!
